Roblox Studio is the free program every Roblox game is built with. Here you set it up and get to know the most important panels.

Install – only from the official site
Download Roblox Studio only from create.roblox.com and log in with your Roblox account. Sites promising “Studio with extras” or “free Robux” are scams. Studio runs on Windows and Mac.
Start a project
Click New and choose the Baseplate template – a flat base where you can build freely. Use Play (▶) to test your game at any time and Stop to return to build mode.
The most important panels
Open these panels from the View tab: Explorer (everything in your game as a tree), Properties (colour, size, material … of the selected object) and Output (messages from your scripts and errors show up here).
🛠️ Try it
Open a Baseplate, press ▶ Play, walk around with your avatar, then press Stop. Find the entry “Workspace” in the Explorer.
